Welcome to the 2023 Howliday Hound Photo Fundraiser! Like all Americans, our dogs love their holidays. So if you have a Memorial Day Mutt, a Patriotic Pup, a Halloween Hound or a Christmas Caine, this contest is for you. The Dripping Springs Lions Club is excited to kick off this year’s Howliday Hounds Top Dog photo contest. Funds raised will go towards worthy community causes. These includes scholarships, support of Texas Lions Camp (a free residential camping facility for children with physical disabilities, type 1 diabetes and cancer) and various other community organizations. The Lions provide free community Vision screening and participate in various service projects throughout the year. All funds raised are put back into the community. This year, we are pleased to donate a portion of all proceeds to Service Dog, Inc. For 35 years, Service Dogs, Inc has transformed unwanted dogs into lifelines for Texans living with significant challenges.
Its easy to participate. Submit your favorite photo of your Howliday Hound, then get your family and friends to vote for your pet’s picture. There is a $5 entry fee. Remember this is a fund raiser for worthy organizations so show your holiday cheer.
Voting is easy and fun and open to everyone. Votes are $1 each. Each dollar donated equals an equivalent number of votes. (A $5 donation equals 5 votes, a $10 donation equals 10 votes, etc.) Proceeds benefit the Lions Club community contributions and is designated 501(c)(4) charity, making all donations toward voting in the contest tax deductible. You can vote as often as you like during the contest. You can apply all your votes to one photo or vote for multiple photos during the contest.
For the best chance to win, be sure to spread the word about your dog's entry into the contest. Ask family and friends to go online and VOTE, VOTE, VOTE for your photo. You can use the sharing buttons that appear on your dog's photo page to share your photo entry with your Facebook friends. And you can email links to family and friends to encourage voting for your top dog's photo. This will help you receive the votes for your photo(s) while helping us raise donations to support the Dripping Springs community!
Contest begins 8:00:00 AM (Central Time) on Monday, November 13, 2023 and runs through 11:59:59 PM (Central Time) on Saturday, December 30, 2023.
