Ester was originally found in North Carolina abandoned in an outside kennel with another dog who was already dead. She was emaciated to the point where you could see every bone in her body and she was riddled with parasites, including heartworms. When Ester's transport reached her foster mom, she was so dehydrated, she was taken straight to the emergency hospital. Lucky for Ester Macy, her foster had a friend riding along on transport, and that friend fell in love and became Ester Macy's forever mom! It took a number of months for her to recover and get healthy, but Ester Macy now lives a life of luxury in a beautiful house on a lake. She has a mom and dad who adore her and a few springer & bulldog furry siblings to keep her company. She loves hunting the critters in her yard and looking out over the water. In particular, Ester Macy loves to go out on paddleboat rides with her dad. This beautiful girl is a true "before and after" rescue story.
