A little about me...
Tucker, fka Martis, is yet another abandoned hunting dog from Greece. We were looking for a sweet tempered family dog for a family with a young child and a sad dog who missed her old companion who had passed away. What we got was so much more! Tucker is the sweetest dog and has picked up on all his basic obedience and hunt training with joy and enthusiasm. It is clear that his previous owner hadn’t always treated him with kindness and he loves his new reward based training! He is Mister Snuggles and Mister Adventure Buddy all wrapped in to one fluffy package. He has a pre-existing injury in his hock that we are working with specialists to address and he’s doing much better. Sometimes, I wonder if this lameness is the cause of his abandonment, but that short-sightedness is our gain! He also came to us with a diagnosis of allergies, but proper diet seems to have eliminated his symptoms and all his feathers have grown back soft and silky. We just passed Tucker’s first adoptiversary. While we have dozens of terrific photos, I love this one because it seems to capture his confidence, comfort, and joy for life! He is out for a boat ride, watching the ospreys closely, and loving the smells on the wind!
