A little about me...
Born breathless and fragile, he faced an uncertain start.

As the first three pups arrived, joy filled the air. But destiny had a different plan for the fourth, Vito.

Guiding my son across the miles with the birth of his puppies via FaceTime, me in Chicago, he in Costa Rica. Born not breathing and limp I knew the last pup's life lay in the balance. With unwavering determination, my son performed an act of love and resilience as I guided him through the steps needed to save the sweet little pup. He removed the sac, tied the umbilical cord, vigorously rubbed the unresponsive puppy. Vito coughed and went limp again.

Kevin did not hesitate when I suggested mouth to mouth resuscitation as the next necessary step. After three gentle puffs the 'yellow puppy' coughed and started breathing. To say we were elated is to put it mildly.

When Vito received a clean bill of health, his journey had just begun. We embarked on a voyage to bring him home. His trust and resilience were evident. Despite his challenging beginnings, Vito behaved as though he was a well seasoned traveler.

Training him has been a joyous adventure, a testament to his intelligence and his zest for life.

Vito, a name reflecting life and light, captures his essence.
