Spokesdog
A little about me...Hi! I’m Sampson and I am a small mixed breed rescue from Texas. My mom is a teacher who works with Deaf & Hard of Hearing students and loves me to bits. I am a great listener and can follow commands in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language! I love to hike, play with friends at daycare, chase squirrels and bunnies, and swim in Lake Michigan (with a puppy life vest!). I love meeting other dogs, cats, and new human friends. I am still working on playing with kids- sometimes I feel spooked by them! When I was a puppy, I was found under a bridge in Texas. A rescue found me and I lived with a foster family. When my mom adopted me at 4 months old, she found out I had giardia and whipworm parasites in my tummy. My mom was able to get me to a vet and put me on medicine she so lovingly put in treats for me! I know I am a lucky boy and now I am all better. I want to represent and support better care in our state towards animals. My mom and I are big advocates of pet adoption- obviously because I am a rescue myself! My mom and I also feel strongly that spaying is the first step of many in reducing the number of homeless animals. I hope that we can help spread the message that spaying is caring!
