We are a family run, foster based, No Kill, all breed dog rescue in Central Illinois. We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs into forever families.
ARROW came about because of experiences we had with other rescues. We saw things we found to be unethical or wrong with regards to decisions about what happened with dogs that were pulled, with the adoption process, and with a sense of competition with other rescues. We thought we could do it better. That is why ARROW was formed.
We specialize in rescuing the dogs other rescues pass over due to medical issues, behavioral problems, costly veterinary care needed, or long term rehabilitation needed prior to adoption. We work collaboratively with many other rescues, arranging or sharing transport for out of state dogs, pooling financial resources to save multiple dogs from one shelter, advertising and marketing other rescues dogs and referring adopters to other rescues when we don't have the dogs they are looking for. We believe that the more rescues work as a big team, the more dogs we can save.
