About My Cat
Donny is our hospice cat. He came to stay with us in early November 2015. He was 10 weeks old and diagnosed with a severe, irreparable heart defect that had already caused serious damage to his lungs. The prognosis was grave but no one told Donny that. His zest for life wasn't dampened in the least. We set out to give him the very best experience of life and love that we were able to, knowing his time with us was limited. We strive to make everyday life a bit of a bucket list...full of good food, lots of toys and enrichment, a catio to hang out in, and as much love and affection as his heart desires. Donny is now 1 1/2 years old. He has lived beyond the veterinarians and our expectations and is still enjoying a tremendous quality of life. Every day with him is a reminder to live, love, and enjoy here and now. Nothing else is guaranteed.
