Sapphire is one of my retired sled dogs at almost 9 years old. She recently completed "Cats are friends, not food" therapy with Kimber (aka: Soccer), our now 5 month old kitten. Sapphire and Kimber are now best friends and play with each other all day long. Kimber has been such a blessing to have around; I had never realized we needed a kitten in our family of 14 sled dogs, but we did! And Kimber fits in perfectly. We call her the "Empress of Team Evergreen Kennel" because most of the dogs are afraid of this tiny 4.5 pound fuzz ball! It didn't take her long at all to teach the dogs that cats rule!
