I was fortunate enough to come across this less than fortunate bald eagle who had attempted to go fishing first thing on a very cold morning. After regretting their life choices the eagle perched in a small patch of sun in an attempt to thaw their frozen feathers. I stayed with the eagle until they safely flew off to the nearby stand of trees and counted myself lucky to witness such an obscure event.
