Pet's Story or Bio
Mayzie is a true rags to riches story! Abandoned by an out of state rescue, she was left a bloody, infected mess at a kill-shelter. A local rescue knew that our dogs became family members - getting green beans, ice cream, birthday parties, regular vet check ups, and all the goodness life brings. We were contacted and knew she belonged with us. With the help of many transport teams, she came from Texas to Pittsburgh! Mayzie arrived just before Halloween, which was good timing since we already had the family Halloween costumes picked out!
An ambassador for her breed, Mayzie attended St.Patrick’s Day parades and even a Pride parade in Pittsburgh!
Mayzie spends her days on the couch, taking walks, and keeping the backyard free of squirrels, deer, and rabbits. She loves kisses and cuddles, at night she hops up in our bed to get covered and sleep soundly between her humans.
She is well loved and we are so lucky to call her family.
