Your Pet's Story or BioPiston was rescued by a King Street Cats volunteer from Seminary Road in Alexandria during rush hour on a cold January morning in 2012. He was disheveled and bleeding from the chin. The volunteer was sure that he had been hit by a car. He was taken to the vet and X-rayed from head to tail, no broken bones. I first met him in the acclimation room at King Street Cats a few days later and his chin was still healing. He wouldn't stop meowing until I came to pet him. A few visits later....I was granted the honor of adopting him. He earned his name after purring endlessly in this loud rhythmic pattern like the piston of an engine. I've never heard a purr like that. Five years later he is a very important part of my family and hopefully will be for a very long time.
