Charlotte and her siblings were found on the streets of Alexandria in May 2016. Rescued by a caring bystander and brought to the Vola Lawson Animal Shelter, Charlotte waited for her forever home. During one of the July summer camps for school-aged children, Charlotte caught the eye of my granddaughter (who insisted that we needed to adopt her). Although I already had two cats at home, Charlotte knew just how to show her affectionate side to me. Needless to say, I adopted her that day and brought her home. Charlotte is now the "alpha" cat and the love of my life.
