Tell us your pet’s story
Tinkerbell and Inky were an important part of my life. Tink was technically my mom's cat, and she saw me as nothing but competition. But she loved my lizard!
Inky was my first lizard, a leopard gecko, who i had since the time he was just a little hatchling. He used to love to sit on my shoulder, and was a great ambassador. Friends who were extremely squemish of all lizard kind would ask to pet him. And he was fearless. He would let himself out of his cage and go for 'walkies', and would stare back at Tink through the glass. There was even one time she was in there with him, and he just sat right beside her, staring at her. He was also tough, battling multiple abscesses through his life, and even though there wasn't much I could do for him, every time I thought he was done he would pull right back through. For all he was a 'lizard' he had personality to spare and was as quirky as his namesake (he was named Inky because as a hatchling instead of spots he had large splotches that looked like worschah tests). I miss him every day and know even if I got another lizard there would never be another like him.
