Xena a beautiful Shire mare did leadlines at PetFair 2012 at Prairieland Feed Store in Savoy, IL. During some down time she and her handler for the day took a brief rest. The connection between the horses at Crosswinds and the volunteers is amazing.

PetFair is Crosswinds largest fundraiser every year. This event often allows us to purchase grain throughout the winter months. It is 2 days of draft rides, pony rides and face painting! It's not just for kids it's for anyone who has ever wanted to ride a gentle giant. Kids of all ages have enjoyed leadline rides on Tessa and Serge or any of our alumni that come back to help!
