We waited 2 years after we lost our 16 1/2 yr old Lizzie a long-haired red girl, but during Covid we decided it was time to open our hearts to another Dachsund. Josie has been such a joy to us as we are recent empty nesters and knew we had so much more love to give to another Doxie. We can’t imagine a day without her. She loves big and plays hard and possesses all of the Doxie traits an experienced Doxie owner would expect. She now has a sister we rescued from DRNA (however she is only 3% dachshund - but they couldn’t leave her behind). Josie and her sister have made our lives better and we know that we have and will continue to show them all the love they deserve for their time on this earth.
