Gidgi had been returned to The Dumb Friends League when she was four years old. We were at the shelter for an event, but not planning to adopt a new cat at that time. She was sitting under a bench in one of the colony rooms - she looked up, and at that moment chose us. Two days later, she was with us in her forever home.
