Pet's Story or Bio
We adopted Sunny (formerly Sandy) from the Mahoning County Dog Pound in June 2014 after we lost our pound dog Lilly suddenly, due to a stroke. It was a bright, sunny June day when we first saw her in a little cage in the garage area of the pound. We loved her immediately! After a successful meeting with our 14 year old lab Lucky, we brought her home. We called her little miss sunshine and that is where her name Sunny came from. She had to go through treatment for Heartworm for about six months, and after a year she is Heartworm free! She has worked hard to learn manners and agility at The Learning Dog Training Center. She is a happy, playful little girl and she truly is our Sunshine!
