"Buckshot" was found shot in the back the day after Christmas 2007. He was 6 weeks old, and nobody on his street would admit to owning him. One of the finest Specialty Surgeons in the country, Dr. Chris Hill of Charleston, SC was visiting our vet that week and he removed the bullet, saving "Buckshot's" life. Today "Buckshot" can wag his tail and control his body functions, but he cannot use his rear legs to walk. At Maranatha Farm we learned how to build wheelchairs for him as he grew, and many other local dogs have been given wheelchairs because of him. "Buckshot" enjoys meeting people at public events and carries the message that handicapped pets have lots of love to give.
