Look at Brady's - living the good life after nearly being killed in an over crowded central Illinois Shelter. Brady was so sickly when he came in- having terrible colitis and bloody diarrhea. His first tick panel showed Rocky Mountain spotted fever and subsequent tick panels revealed Ehrlichia and Lyme too. Brady came with his FDSB papers and comes from some champion blood lines, but he was too sick to compete in field trials. When his foster daddy Hector volunteered to foster, I asked him if he would let me mentor him and if Brady showed any promise during treatment to point birds, we would get him back into the field. After a year in foster care, allowing Brady to be a dog and forget his PTSD from the diseases and harsh training, he started to gain confidence - winning 3 derbies during his campaigning.
