Lord Stanley is a little beagle mix puppy that was born 5 days after his momma Trudy was flown into the Chicago burbs from a hoarding situation in Kentucky. He was adopted by Nancy just after the Chicago Blackhawks won another Stanley Cup. Wilbur was rescued from an over crowded shelter in Arkansas and was moved to Chicago to be Nancy's foster dog as that's all she wanted for her birthday. Stanley and Wilbur became best friends in foster care and as Wilbur had suffered neglect and possible abuse, Stanley helped him to learn how to play and trust other dogs. Sadly Wilbur is fighting heartworms and at least 3 terrible tick borne diseases. He will be in our heartworm slow kill treatment program and the cost of his medical supplies alone for the next year will be close to $500. Please vote for Lord Stanley and Wilbur!!
