Why is your dog a hero?
Playa was surrendered to Station 67 in October 2022 at 8 weeks old. She is a Shepksy (a shepherd/husky mix) and was named after the neighborhood 67s serves. The firefighters at 67s took turns taking care of Playa but once it was Firefighter Sweeney’s turn, she has never left her side. Playa was adopted by the Sweeney family and has brought so much joy to her 7 & 11yr old kids life. Playa loves to go on long runs and hikes with her family and wakes up the whole family every morning with surprise attacks. We had not planned on getting a pup for the family but we couldn’t imagine our lives without her in it now.
