Your Pet's Story
In May of 2008, we decided to adopt a dog and began checking the dog profiles on the Humane Society website.  We 'met' a few dogs, but none of them seemed to be the right fit. We were grateful that the folks at HSFN were as concerned about it being a good match as we were. When we met Sasha (formerly Shiloh), we knew she was the one for us! Sasha, a sweet shepherd mix, came from a shelter in Shelby AL, and has been the Queen of our home ever since. She is very special and is loved by all who meet her - she is even an AKC Canine Good Citizen!
 
We often considered getting Sasha a 'sister', but it never seemed like the right time. We kept an eye on the HSFN website, and right before Christmas of 2012, we saw Maggie's (formerly Sarah) profile and decided to go meet her. Maggie is a lab mix who came from Texas (ARF). 

We brought Maggie home with us and she is a wonderful addition to our family! Maggie came to us with a permanently disabled hind leg that had been broken and never properly set, but that doesn't stop her from playing with Sasha! Their favorite game is to see who can get the most attention from their humans – and they both win that game!
