Pictured with his Purell collar bob, Barkley, FKA The Beast (as assigned by his foster family), is simply misunderstood. I admit,he was returned by potentially adoptive families. But, that was only because his special needs required someone that has the time and patience to resolve some of his issues. After all, it's not his fault! He is a very handsome young man. And he gets stares as he hangs out the window everywhere we go. In fact, joyrides are a significant part of our daily activities. His overly gregarious personality does, however, betray him at times. So, we do continue working on his manners. He has severe separation anxiety. And that will, I believe, remain a lifelong challenge. He is indeed a snuggler and a smoocher and the sweetest chap ever. His hobbies include getting the mail, going to Grandma's house, joyrides, drooling at the drive-through, and smiling. He loves to go to the doctor...in fact he has the term "goofball" in his permanent record. I am very thankful that we found each other. And I hope that I am not just thinking myself.
