Pet's Story
I lost my Deiva of 7 years to Cancer on Oct 30 2012. A friend suggested that to relieve my sadness I should adopt another dog as soon as possible. On Nov 3 2012 I went to several animal shelters but did not see my dogmate. The last shelter on the list was the Charles County Humane Society. I did a walk through the shelter and was about to leave when my sister noticed a dog moving his head left and right as if he knew what was being said. I looked at him he looked at me and it was love at first sight. I asked to take him out for a walk. Once we were outside we walked and as I sat on a bench. Ozzi jumped into my lap, kissed me, and
Put his head on my chest. I went back into the shelter and filed out an adoption application. That weekend I only thought about Ozzi. I even had a dream about him. Monday morning I called the shelter for a status on my application. I adopted Ozzi from the Charles County Humane Society on Nov. 5 2012.
