Nipper is a mixed breed adopted from Soul Dog Animal Rescue. He is named after the famous RCA Victor mascot, both because he looks like the original Nipper with his cocked ear, and because he is deaf—an ironic twist on the RCA Victor logo, which depicts Nipper looking into a Victrola with the tagline, “His Master’s Voice.”
