Your Pet's Rescue Story
Val is a 4-yr-old chi mix who came to my rescue with an spinal injury that had gone untreated for 2 years. She could barely walk and was incontinent. Her owners surrendered her to a shelter because they didn't want her anymore. I signed on as a foster and quickly realized that I couldn't let this feisty little doll go. So I "foster failed" and adopted her. After months of working with a rehab vet and doing home exercises, she now walks, runs, climbs curbs and stairs and has fewer accidents in the house. Squirrels and rabbits, beware!
