Your Pet's Rescue Story
UPDATED 8.1.23, we lost our girl since entering her in this contest.

Sydney came to live with us in 2015, and she was the matriarch of our home from that day forward. She was a big fluffy girl, but also one heck of a guard dog against the "scary" delivery people that visit us daily.

She was a constant source of love and comfort for her human's since day one, always providing smiles, tail wags, snuggles, big hugs, and the occasional slobbery kiss…IF you were lucky. Sydney loved porch time with her mama while she enjoyed a glass of wine after a long day.

When Sydney's (human) mama was diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer in 2019, Sydney went into "nursing mode" and never left her side during an almost 3-year battle with cancer. She was always there. Thankfully, her mama is now doing well and is in remission, but the tables have turned.

Our sweet little girl was diagnosed with an advanced form of a very aggressive Melanoma in April...right after her 8th birthday. Sadly, her cancer was not treatable and metastasized quickly. We were hoping she’d still be with us when voting opened, but unfortunately a few days prior to the start of voting she told us it was time to go home and be healed. 🥹🌈 Syds crossed over the rainbow bridge peacefully in the early morning hours of July 28th. 💔

This contest means more that winning…our girl’s life was cut far too short. Having the opportunity to see sweet Syds on a wine label for all to enjoy will help us remember her in a BIG WAY! She deserves that! For all that have met her and loved her both in person and from afar in her 8 short years on this earth, I think you can agree....She was silly and bossy, but definitely one of a kind. Sydney was our best friend and her absence is felt everywhere.

I've shared my favorite photo of her, and I would love nothing more than to see her sweet smile on a wine bottle and for everyone to know her story. This would be such a heartfelt way to remember her now that she has left this earth.
