Your Pet's Rescue Story
Our family was missing our Sammy girl, a beautiful black lab that we had rescued from Pet Alliance many years ago. She had recently passed over the Rainbow Bridge and we were devastated. My service dog, Oliver, was missing her terribly. I started looking at the Pet Alliance website for a new family member and a companion for Oliver. There was a German Shepherd who was available, but by the time we got there he had been placed. We walked down the kennels and this girl was laying up on a cot looking so forlorn and miserable. She was the saddest pup any of us had seen. We were struck by her beauty. Her name was Princess and she was listed as a doodle dog, 7 months old. She had been placed with Pet Alliance because her previous owner was struggling to handle her. We fell in love with this sweetheart. We were confident our experience with training would help her become the best she could be. Oliver came back with us the next day, and the two were temperament tested by the staff. They hit it off and have been inseparable ever since. We changed her name to Luna because she has a moon-shaped fur marking on her back and she didn’t display any of the attributes one thinks a princess should possess. She wasn’t house broken yet, but learned quickly. She has tripled in size and our vet believes she is actually a Newfypoo. She’s smart as a whip and brings us all such joy! Luna is always the first to alert us when she hears something or someone, but everyone is her best friend! We are so grateful that she came into our family!
