Your Pet's Rescue Story
Henry was a small, young dog found on a big farm. The barn owner struggled to find his owner to no avail. After several months, having exhausted all resources to find his owner, she knew he was not going to be safe around the horses, and surrendered him to Brooke, Lynne’s daughter, to take him to a local rescue.

Brooke had a full house, fostering a mama and five pups, so Lynne held onto Henry for a night before he could be driven to the rescue. One night was all it took, and Lynne showed up the next day to officially adopt Henry into her family.

Cheeto, Lynne’s male marmalade cat, spent the first few weeks under a bed upstairs. When he finally did venture out, Henry and Cheeto became instant friends. Henry would grab Cheeto by the back of the neck like a mother cat with a kitten and drag him 15 feet across the wood floor to carpet for traction to have a wrestling match. They loved rough and tumble play together. Cheeto, fully twice Henry’s size, protesting all the way, could have escaped or even taken Henry out with a single swipe if he’d wanted to.

It all started 15 years ago. Lynne has always been grateful Brooke couldn’t keep Henry that night; their story could have ended very differently. Henry has lived a good and happy life and is growing older gracefully.
