Your Pet's Rescue Story
My mom was feeling lonely so she went to the local SPCA to see if she could find a friend to take home...Lucky Me! She walked by many kennels but all the loud barking & jumping made her 2nd guess why she was there so she decided to leave...As she made her way toward the exit we made eye contact & I placed my paw through the kennel to reach for her...I was pretty skinny & being bullied by my roommate but she felt something & asked to spend some time with me one on one. She took me home that day and we we've inseparable - ha I wouldn't allow any one near her until I made certain it was safe...We spent nearly every day together for the past 13 years...Now old & frail (15 years old) I hold on so that my Mom is happy & safe. One day with tears in her eyes she strokes my head & belly (my favorite!) and tells me she will be okay and that she doesn't want me to be in pain any more - that I can finally rest...The following week I took my final nap after knowing she would be okay without me.

Sam was a most wonderful, loyal, sweet and smart friend...He protected me & had to be near me 24/7 - making certain I was "okay" always...It felt like he was trying to repay me for "rescuing" him BUT he rescued me!

Sam has been a huge part of our entire family's lives - touching everyone's hearts in some special sweet way. Sadly old age got the best of him and he passed on 6/16/16...he will be forever missed!
