Your Pet's Rescue Story
Meet Oliver, a Lhasa Apso/Cocker Spaniel mix! He was adopted outside of Pittsburgh, PA. A month before I adopted Oliver, I lost my beloved boxer, Apollo, to kidney failure. Apollo was also a rescue that I adopted in Pittsburgh. For me, life is complete with a dog and I knew the best healing process was providing a loving home to a new shelter pup. A good samaritan found Ollie lost, scared, matted and covered in fleas by the side of the road and brought him to the shelter. They cleaned him up and posted him for adoption. When I found him on the site, I immediately knew I needed to meet him in person. No one ever came forward to claim Oliver so the adoption agents didn't know his back story. They did, however, know that Oliver was well mannered, trained, house broken and the cleanest dog of the bunch! I spent 10 minutes with him and knew he was the one. He didn't have a name in the shelter, just a number, so I named him Oliver! I've had Oliver for almost 6 years and everyday with him is full of love and adventure. I'm looking forward to many more!
