Your Pet's Rescue StoryI had been looking for a dog after my home was broken into. I was afraid at night and couldn't sleep any time I heard a little noise. I took an online quiz that said "terrier" but this sweet Beagle was in the kennel next door. She immediately hopped up next to me on the bench. She had a funny little limp, but that was ok. Once we got home, the x-rays revealed a bad break. One unsuccessful surgery after another, the leg just would not heal. Eventually the veterinary orthopedist said nothing could be done and we opted for amputation. It was a very long recovery but we had a village to help us. It's been 3 years and my sweet girl is happy and healthy, she doesn't miss that pesky leg one bit. It was slowing her down!
