Your Pet's Rescue Story
After talking to one of my patients, that happened to work for a veterinary, she started telling me about this dog that was just abandoned at her office. I said to her, that we were looking to adopt but we haven't gotten that far into it. She says let me call you later with more information. Later on she calls me telling me that he got adopted rather quick. Fast forward one month later (day before thanksgiving) she comes in with her husband. She goes on by telling me if I remembered the dog that she mentioned the month prior. I tell yes, you said that he got adopted. She tells me the person who adopted him returned him back to the vets office. In my head all I'm getting is red flags. I go by asking her, who on the world returns a dog back? Is he destructive, aggressive? She says no, he's sweet and a good boy! I tell her let me go with my husband to your office on Friday and then we will see. Black Friday arrives and my husband is just as excited as a 5 year old on Christmas day. We go to check on Max, I guess I never thought that we would bring this little 7 months old fur ball into our lives! Once my husband makes eye contact with Max, it was a wrap. I'm thinking to myself, this was just meant to be.
This man (my husband) finally convinced me to get a dog and after many lost battles he ended up winning! So while many people were battling and fighting in line for a good deal at the stores, we decided to adopt and add to the Collazo family by spending very little money for the most purest of love!
