Your Pet's Rescue Story
Rukia came to me via my sister. As a cat owner herself, she can't resist trying to help stray kittens, so when she was walking to her apartment and heard a young girl say "kitty!", she knew she had to help. Normally if the kitten is larger or runs away from people, she will leave it be, as chances are it is doing ok on its own, however when she bent down to see this kitten, it came right up looking for affection. She thought it might have belonged to someone in the apartment complex, however 3 months went by, with no one responding to her "Found Kitten" posters and calls to the local shelters.

Since she already had two cats, my sister turned to me for help. I had been debating a pet for a long time, and still wasn't sure if I was ready right then, however after meeting this little kitty with her very outgoing and talkative personality, I couldn't resist. She is always ready for a chase around the apartment or game of fetch. Yes, fetch. Hair ties are her favorite, but little mice toys work well too. Every time I toss a toy, she gives a little "meow!" as she runs off after it, and brings it back to me for a petting and another toss. Sometimes I think she is more dog than cat, as she also loves belly rubs and will always greet me at the door or see me off when coming or going from home. She's the best of both worlds!

Rukia brings a lot of laughs and fun, and I am very thankful for the day my sister stopped to help this amazing cat.
