Bear (aka "Mr. Perfect") came to NGPR from a shelter in Alabama, surrendered "because he likes kids so much and we don't have any for him to play with" (note: he never was much for little people, but loved adults). After 3 days, he became my first foster failure. He was followed by Mamie and then Reno, both from Bear Creek Rescue in Missouri. Both had come into rescue abandoned, emaciated and needing orthopedic surgeries. Three individuals with deep emotions and distinctive personalities. Mamie is the last one standing now, and remains queen of the castle.
