Huey, 3 1/2 years old was taken to a facility for euthanasia because the family couldn’t afford his heartworm treatment. I am not aware of other issues, but he put his best foot forward, and the folks there felt he deserved another chance. NGPR rescued him, got him on medication for his heartworm and then on to a foster parent. We loved him the moment we first saw his picture and quickly filled out adoption form for him. Since, he has been bringing us much joy and happiness, and we don’t know what we would ever do without him.
