Chase was a neglected and abused stray in Tennessee who was able to evade capture by the dog warden for several weeks before being locked up in an overcrowded shelter. Joye, a loving volunteer with the National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR), helped save his life by pulling him from the shelter and fostering him - she even made him countless batches of special meatballs to help fatten him up (he was skin and bones) - before Good Samaritans with NGPR transported our sweet boy from Kentucky to us in New York in 2014. ❤️
