Rules

This contest is open to anyone.
Photos of any pets are accepted, including rescued and foster pet(s).
Your photo may contain more than one pet, or you can submit a separate entry for each of your pets.
Submit your photo with a minimum $10 tax deductible donation for each photo entry. You may enter as many times as you like.
When you submit a photo of your pet(s). Include your pet's name(s), your first name and address (only the city and state will be displayed on the contest website), and an introduction telling us a little something about your pet. If your pet is a rescue, please consider sharing your rescue story. Please limit intro to 150 words or less. This information will be included on the calendar if your photo wins, so please type carefully.
The top Fan Favorite who receives the most votes will win the coveted Calendar Cover spot, will be featured on one month inside the calendar, and will receive 2 free 2017 calendars featuring your pet!
The next 11 Fan Favorites will be prominently showcased on each of the remaining 11 months and will receive 1 free 2017 calendar!
Additional calendars will be available for purchase.
Contest entries must be submitted online before Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. Central time.
Once entered, photos become the property of No Kill Houston to be used for print and marketing purposes, including publication on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
All winners will be determined by electronic vote tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding. Voting requires a minimum donation of $1.
All submissions must be of good digital quality to retain detail when enlarged. Entry photo must be animal only – no people. Multiple pets can appear in the picture.
All photos must belong to the person who submits the photo. We cannot accept any copyrighted photos.
Winner's photos will be displayed as large as possible on the calendar page; poorer quality photographs may be replaced by a better-quality photo of the same pet at the discretion of No Kill Houston.
By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless No Kill Houston and the contest Sponsors and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the contest or receipt or use of any prize.
This contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

Voting

We encourage you to share your pet's photo entry with friends and family and ask them to vote for your pet!
There is no limit to the number of times you can vote.
Public votes for photo entries can be submitted online until Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. Central time
Each vote is $1. There is no limit to the number of votes one may cast. You may vote for your own photo and you may spread your votes across multiple pets.
When you purchase your "votes" you are actually making a donation to No Kill Houston. You, the voter, have the starring role in helping to transform Houston to a No Kill city.
Being a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, any votes purchased is actually a tax deductible donation. When you complete your transaction to purchase votes, you will receive a confirmation email. This will serve as your tax deductible receipt.

Miscellaneous

Any photo submission that does not comply with the above rules, or is deemed of inappropriate or inhumane content, may be disqualified.
No Kill Houston reserves the right to modify or clarify any of the contest rules during the term of the contest without advance notice.
No Kill Houston is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are tax deductible.
