Rules

Voting in the Contest
  • This contest is open for anyone to vote. For the Magic Mutt Pet Contest, we welcome anyone who wants their pet to star in the Magic Mutt Calendar.
  • The minimum donation for entering a submission is $25 per photo. You may enter as many photos as you desire.
  • All entries are required to list the name of the pet pictured in the photo and a short bio.
  • Digital photos must be clear, of good quality and high resolution and submitted via the contest website submission form.
  • Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery and will be open to voting by the public.
  • People are not allowed in your photo, though the image may contain another companion pet in addition to the one featured.
  • The same pet can be entered into the contest multiple times, but votes will not be combined across multiple entries of the same pet. Each photo earns votes separately.
  • Photos must either feature pets owned by the entrant, OR the entrant must have permission from the pet's owner to submit their pet's image.
  • We cannot accept copyrighted professional photos or any photos that have been digitally manipulated or altered.
  • Once entered, photos become the property of the Norfolk SPCA and may be used for online, print, and marketing purposes.
  • We reserve the right to decline publication of any photography for any reason.

Miscellaneous Info
  • Entries may be submitted from August 4, 2017 at 8:00 PM EDT until September 3, 2017 AT 11:59:59 PM EDT.
  • Donations are non-refundable and fully tax-deductable as permitted by law. The Norfolk SPCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
  • By participating in this contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Norfolk SPCA and each of their officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the contest or receipt or use of any prize.
  • The contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

Online Voting
  • Voting by the general public is available for a $1 donation per vote and can be in any whole dollar amount.
  • We encourage you to email the contest link to family and friends and encourage them to vote.
  • Persons may submit as many votes for as many photos as they wish.
  • All votes will be periodically tabulated and displayed on the contest website. There may be a temporary delay in displaying the most recent tabulations.
  • Voting begins on August 4, 2017 at 8:00 PM EDT and ends on September 3, 2017 at 11:59:59 PM EST*.
  • Due to limitations of our automated tabulation system, there can be up to a 15 minute delay between when a donation is received/recorded and when it is reflected in the leaderboard on the contest website. All gifts received before 11:59:59 PM EST on September 3, 2017 will be honored. The leaderboard results are official.
*The ending time for online voting will be solely determined by the host website's server. Keep in mind that your clock may differ from the clock that determines the ending time, depending on your time zone.
