Squirrel?! Hi everyone, my name is Maximus, but everyone calls me Maxie. I found my forever home in November of 2015 after being put up for adoption at the Ottawa Humane Society, by my first family at 8 months of age. Boy was I just a cannonball of energy! My family sure loves me though, in about a year and a half they've taught me so much! My personal favourite thing I learned is to paw for attention instead of barking; I get rewarded with the absolute best thing in the world, ear and muzzle scratches! Total bliss, highly recommended! They learned through DNA testing that one of my grandparents was part Chihuahua (I hide it really well), but I am mostly Australian Cattle Dog with a tad of Rat Terrier. When I'm not relaxing around the house, complete with a pillow under my head, I'm out and about on a hike or away camping with my family, all the while looking out for those pesky squirrels!
