Balto was adopted from the Ottawa Humane Society aged 9 weeks on 7 Feb 2017 after his mother, Mariah delivered 9 healthy husky puppies on 8 Dec 2016 at the Ottawa Humane Society.

Balto is an amazing energetic husky, a very gentle soul, alert, friendly, outgoing, affectionate and intelligent. Balto the youngest in his class was enrolled in puppy kindergarten after adoption and graduated on 21 April 2017. He is currently enrolled in Intermediate training where he continues to excel in his class. Balto is also enrolled in puppy swimming classes which he loves.

Balto truly loves the great outdoors and enjoyed the winter season and and all the snow. When he is a little older he will start
dog- sledding.

Now the spring season is here Balto is doing lots of hiking. He is looking forward to hiking in the Gatineau hills as well as exploring the Ottawa valley. During the Victoria weekend Balto will go with his parents and tour the Rideau Lakes by boat.

During the summer Balto will do some extensive hiking with his parents, avid outdoor enthusiasts. Balto is looking forward to having his own back-pack when he is older.

Long-term goals for Balto are agility training and also pet-therapy training. His mum a nurse has seen first-hand the impact therapy pets have on hospitalized patients.
