What's the story?
Moose was one of the first pigeons I ever adopted (thank you Avian Underdogs!). He is a very large bird who is constantly mistaken for a chicken. Moose is special in another way too: his life was saved by this community. He was recently diagnosed with mycobacteriosis, and because the treatment is long and very expensive, birds with this disease are often humanely euthanized. The pigeon rescue community raised funds to help pay for the 4 medications per day that Moose will be on for the next year. I am so grateful and so happy to report that he is doing extremely well.
