Chicken-Buttons-Peep. My little man. My flappy boy. For the last year of his life, as his neurological disorder progressed, we were lucky enough to have him join our family. Chicken-Buttons, I wish so very, very much I could have had more time with you. When your heart stopped as you lay in my arms, I wasn’t ready. You’re one of the bravest spirits I’ve ever met. The tiniest little pigeon, only 225 grams, yet you filled the whole room with your courage, your inquisitive expression, and your big, bright eyes.
