What's the story?
Barry was a racer we found injured in 2019. She quickly became a member of the family, and decided I was her husbird.

We lost Barry after a well-intentioned, experienced avian vet gave her Panacur (fenbendazole), as is still prescribed in veterinary formularies for all birds. Unfortunately, while it can be a lifesaver for other birds, fendbendazole is toxic and usually lethal in pigeons and doves. This happens far too often. We hope Barry’s loss will help get the message out to other pigeon parents (and husbirds) to talk to their vets about fendbendazole.
