This is Bertie. Bertie was part of a group of homing pigeons kept in a small cage in someone’s backyard. When I brought her home it was clear that she had never been handled by humans and she was very afraid of me. I immediately gave her free roam of the house (with human supervision) and it’s clear she appreciates it, because now she won’t leave my side. Bertie lives in the Portland area with her Mom, and two canine brothers.
