Pixel, a male with badly mangled feet, came into my home in January, 2021, and shares the living room with me. He was well taken care of, but lonely – I am not great company for a pigeon. A few months later, Cher Ami arrived, a female whose feet were even worse. Pixel literally trembled when standing near her. They have been ardently in love ever since. This picture was taken right before a mating – who knew pigeons could smile!
