Do you have the most gorgeous cat around, and do you want proof while you're bragging? Enter your cat's picture here and then wait for the votes to roll in--votes from your family and friends, of course.


Besides bragging rights, there are prizes, too:

• The First Place winner will receive a private photo session in your home of the winning cat, donated by Moments Captured by Kira, LLC, along with a print release to print any or all of the five digital images that will be in her online gallery. Kira Jacobs is the professional photographer who has been taking the awesome pictures of the Paws’ cats and kittens. The value of this prize is $300.
• The top three vote-getters will each receive a gift basket of cat products and their pictures will be featured in Paws' winter newsletter. In addition, the top three cats will become the face of Paws and Whiskers as the profile picture on our Facebook page for one month each, beginning in October 2017.
• The next nine winners will be our profile picture and represent the shelter for one week each, starting in January 2018.

Winners will be contacted at the end of the contest, and we'll present the winning gift baskets at Bissett's Birthday Bash on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at the shelter. Winners need not be present that day.


2018 Paws and Whiskers calendars will be made with the each winner appearing on a month, with the coveted cover photo to be chosen from all entries by the calendar committee. Photos used for the monthly shots and cover must be of high enough quality to reproduce well (generally, older cell phones don't produce photos of a high enough quality for an 8 x 10 photo).


In addition, all other entries that earn at least $100 in votes will appear as part of a collage on the back of the calendar!


If you wish to order a calendar AND you can pick it up from the shelter when they're ready (early September) you can pre-order for $15 per calendar, cash or check, or $16 on credit card or PayPal. Either mail a check (include your phone number) to Calendar Order, Paws and Whiskers, 32 Hillwyck, Toledo, OH 43615-5814, or stop in during open hours with cash, check, or your credit card.

You can use PayPal by going to the shelter's website, pawsandwhiskers.org, and clicking on the Donate button. You must write Calendar Order in the purpose box and include your phone number. You can, of course, order as many as you'd like (they make great gifts!!).

The deadline for pre-orders is Wednesday, August 23rd.

If you want one (or more) sent directly to your home, the cost will be $15 per calendar, plus $5.99 S&H from the printing company. The shipping charge doesn't change for multiple copies going to the same address. More info will be sent after the contest finishes on July 30th.


Would you like your cat's picture on the square of a particular date? For a $10 donation, you can reserve a date (first come, first served)


The $10 reservation donation will count as an additional 10 votes toward your glamour cat's total votes if you've entered the contest! (Please note that these votes will not register as quickly as the admin has to apply them manually. Therefore the 10 vote bonus offer ends at 8:00 PM on July 29.)

You can enter the same or a different photo for the date blocks, and you need not enter the contest if you just want your cat's picture on the calendar. Please note, that entering a picture with two cats will work for the contest, but because of the size of the date blocks, a single cat's picture will work best there.
