Photo Contest Rules
- Entry fee is $10 per photo.
- Starting date for entering photos and voting is 9/15/16 at 8am (CST). Ending date for entering photos and voting is 10/15/16 at 8pm (CST).
- Votes are $1. There is a minimum vote donation of $5.
- PAWS of NE Louisiana is a 501(c)3 organization. Donation votes are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment reply to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
- Photos should include your pets only. No humans allowed. Animal group shots are acceptable.
- Photos must be submitted online, no mail-in entries are accepted.
- We ask that you upload only well-focused, sharp images that are high resolution (300 dpi and above or 1024x768 pixels) in jpeg (.jpg) format. Photos that do not meet the minimum requirements may be blurry and not suitable for an enlarged monthly photo if they win.
- If your photo is one of the top 13 vote getters and is too blurry (due to not meeting the minimum size requirements), we will NOT be able to use it as one of the monthly photos and we will notify you by email. If you can't provide a larger resolution photo, we will have to choose someone else's photo in its place.
- Photos can be vertical or horizontal format (horizontal/landscape photos are highly recommended as they will show larger on the page)
- We reserve the right to decline publication of any photograph for any reason. Should this happen, we will notify you and refund your entry fee if desired.
- If your photo is one of the top 13 vote getters, we reserve the right to crop the photo background so that it fits properly on the page.
- You may submit photos of deceased pets.
- The top 13 winners will be shown in real time when the contest closes. Winners will also be contacted by email by 10/25/16 regarding their prizes. The Judge's Choice photo will be chosen by 10/25/16 and the winner will be notified by email.
- Calendars can be purchased at the time you enter your photo and/or they will be available for purchase in our online store at pawsnela.org. If you would like your calendar mailed to you, you must pay the additional shipping charges.
- Proceeds from the entry fees and calendar sales will benefit the programs of PAWS of NE Louisiana.
Calendar Photo Selections
- The top vote recipient will be used as our calendar cover photo and will win prizes listed on our Prizes page
- The 2nd-13th place photos with the most votes will be featured on the 12 months of the calendar and will win prizes listed on our Prizes page
- The Judge's Choice photo will be chosen by a local judge and will win prizes listed on our Prizes page
- All remaining photos will be shown as thumbnail photos on the days of the week
