How does this photo represent the theme – Life is Better Together?
We adopted Jesse 11.5 years ago from the Northeast Animal Shelter (Salem MA) "Save a SATO" program, which takes street dogs from Puerto Rico and brings them to the US. Jesse has been a love from day one, when she shook in fear in my lap all the way home. She is sweet, gentle and just wants to be with her family. She is timid (we joke about how she gets scared by the cat next door) but we wouldn't have her any other way! 3 years ago we almost lost her after an illness was misdiagnosed and we firmly believe our love for her and hers for us kept her alive until we could properly treat her. I took this picture because we had just bought a new couch and at first we were trying to keep her off, but that didn't last!
