Schrodinger was a tripod and the last one of his litter. No one wanted him because of his short leg. We took him in and he was the best cat ever. He was diagnosed with mast cell cancer a little before his second birthday. We got him a friend, Pewter to ease his last few days. Pewter was rescued from a shelter and was skinny and sickly when he came to us. Schrodinger had a courageous battle with cancer and surprised the doctors with his resilience and will to live. This picture shows how much they loved each other from the very beginning and was taken when Schrodinger was sick from chemotherapy. It is an example of how animals find peace in each other, after going through so much. It is a lesson for humans to love. Schrodinger succumbed to his disease a few months after this picture was taken but he lives forever in our hears and in Pewter's memory.
